The Icon Story

Back in the day, my friends and I used to shred up the bases of our snowboards jibbing whatever we could find. We couldn’t drive, we had no money for lift tickets and we weren’t interested in groomed trails or powder runs. We wanted to explore our neighborhood, make rails and boxes and just have fun. That December, two of my friends received a snowskate for Christmas and that’s where it all started.

Snowskating was the perfect outlet for us. We would take our skate influences and fuse them with our snowboarding background and best of all, we could ride virtually anywhere. Snowskating allowed us to be creative; we were doing something different, something completely unique. After a few years of competing, filming and riding every day mother nature permitted, snowskating evolved into much more than a hobby. What was once a replacement for snowboarding had now become its own entity, something that could provide us with more fun days than anything else in the world.

Seven years after I stepped onto my first snowskate, I have started a new endeavor; to produce a snowskate that can handle the beatings we will put it through, a snowskate that allows us to progress limitlessly, and most importantly, a snowskate that will provide us with an endless amount of fun. With the formation of Icon Snowskates comes the revival of rider intuition in the industry. We know how much effort goes into every single trick and how hard you work to buy a snowskate every season. With this in mind, we have made a board that can withstand every hour of riding and is worth every penny of your hard earned money. We love snowskating. It is just as important to us as it is to you.
