First off, on behalf of Icon Snowskates, I want to thank every rider who submitted a video to the contest.  It was really refreshing to not only get an overwhelming response, but to also see a lot of fresh blood out there.  The sport of snowskating is definitely growing, and I'm pumped on the fact that there is a ton of undiscovered talent.  Thanks guys!

After taking much into account, we have decided to award two riders a spot on the Icon Team.  The winners are:

So do you think you have what it takes to ride for Icon Snowskates?  Well here's your chance to prove it.  After our first successful year, it's now time to expand the team and ultimately better disperse the good word about Icon.  That's where you come in.  We're hosting a video contest to find the next Icon team member.  Here are some of the things we'll be looking for.

Trick Vocabulary- Show us what tricks you've got down.  Be original, we're not looking for anything specific, actually we'd love if you'd bring something new to the table.

Style- Definitely a necessity, make your tricks look sick and effortless.

Filming- Filming is a crucial part of snowskating, especially being a part of our team.  Make sure your shots are well composed, use a tripod if necessary, no zoom on a fisheye, etc.  Visit the forum if you have any questions or concerns about filming.

Personality/Attitude- We want to see some individuality, so show some lifestyle shots in your footage!  We want to see that you really care for snowskating, being on the team takes a lot of hardwork and dedication.

To enter the contest, post your video on Vimeo.com, send the link and a short description about yourself to , with the subject line reading "Be the Next Icon Rider Video Contest".  Submissions will be accepted starting today January 25, 2009 and will end on April 1, 2009.  Good luck!
